eMuni Content Management System Training

Community Site Design Group is developing curricula for several eMuni Content Management Systems Training programs in a few different styles.   Since we're a small organization, our focus right now is simply getting the product ready for 'market'.  

One of the biggest gripes we hear and experience for ourselves is the lack of training available for Drupal.   There are resources out there in the form of books, podcasts and a few websites dedicated to training on a somewhat narrow spectrum...the end of the spectrum aimed at the developers.    And while there is limited availability of training resources on a beginner or user level, it is difficult to find in a universe full of other more technical resources.

Our approach to training, as we envision it, is to provide documentation and video tutorials specifically for those who use the eMuni Content Management System.    We understand the Drupal experience can be frustrating.  That's why we are choosing this path.   Our video tutorials, which will be available for download on the CSD website, will walk you through

• every aspect of the eMuni CMS installation
• setting up roles and permissions
• customizing the eMuni Theme 
• creating and editing content
• building content libraries for video, pdf files
• working with the calendar features
• developing an inward facing structure to your site
• integrating and building on line bill payment systems

The list can get quite long.   But the point is, these videos are meant for the users of the eMuni CMS like the people in your city's IT department or your city manager.
